Signed and numbered (out of an edition of 18 copies of each border colour)
Black & White photo of Banksy's most iconic image, the 'Girl With Balloon'. Just in case the price didn't make it obvious, the photo is signed by me, Martin Bull, not by Banksy :-)
I have hand coloured the balloon to its original red colour and shape / size..
From my personal collection of my own photos. This is not from some anonymous photographer or, even worse, stolen from the internet. This was taken by me on the fringes of Hoxton, East London on 18th October 2006. It was white washed by the local housing provider in March 2007, meaning there were no longer any left in the world!
I am doing listings on eBay for other photos and also some for smaller versions, so please check those out if you prefer something a bit different to what you see here - www.ebay.co.uk/sch/shellshockphotos/m.html?_trksid=p3692
This image is consistently chosen by fans (especially females) as their favourite image, and its meaning is endlessly debated on dull forums. Is the girl grabbing for the balloon (lost love?) or is she letting it go? Who cares - LOL. I would have thought it was relatively clear, as his books attach the following caption, “When the time comes to leave, just walk away quietly and don't make any fuss”. Mr.B probably doesn't mention this image often to Mrs.B :-)
• Size = 10" x 8" (25 x 20cm). I have deliberately chosen this size as it is the easiest large photo size to find a frame for.
• Solid black border or a white border. Edition of 18 copies of each colour.
• Printed by a well known and well respected photo company on Kodak archive photo paper (sorry but these ones, at this price, are not hand-printed photos from a darkroom)
Your photo will be sent in a plastic protector, within a brand new strong board backed 'Do Not Bend' envelope. I then add a piece of 1000 micron board on top, so the photo is sandwiched with card on both sides.
NOTE - if postage to the country where you live doesn't seem to be available at the check out please email me. Big Cartel has a rather funny / annoying postage system. I WILL post to anywhere!
